    Please read the following health alert attachments from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) (updated 9/26/06) regarding fresh bagged spinach and salad blends containing fresh spinach.

      The product should be discarded or returned to your vendor since additional warnings advise that neither additional washing, nor cooking, will make the spinach safe for consumption.
