Section 24 of Public Law 108-265 increased the number of required health inspections from one a year for schools to two per year. Now USDA is looking to compile a report on how many schools are in compliance. Although we have requested this information from the New York State Department of Health, they are currently not set up to generate the required report. Therefore, USDA has asked that I contact districts/schools directly to obtain this information for the 2005-06 school year.
I need to collect data on health inspections conducted between July 1, 2005-June 30, 2006 regarding the number of schools that had zero health inspections, one health inspection, two health inspections and more than two health inspections. If you have any questions please contact Shaniqua Saxon at 518-473-1525.
Please complete the health inspection form and fax it to 518-473-0018 by February 16, 2007.
Thank you for your quick response.
