The Child Nutrition Program Administration Office has received a large shipment of USDA Recipes to distribute to its schools and sponsors. The package consists of two components: a printed booklet and a CD ROM. The printed booklet discusses nutrient information, safe food handling, adjusting recipes, and contains many reference charts to assist with foodservice operations. The CD-ROM contains the recipe files which are listed alphabetically by recipe name and number. Recipes can be printed from the disk individually, by recipe category, or in its entirety.
These updated recipes supersede all previous recipe versions and provide updated yields from the Food Buying Guide with nutrient values and critical control points.
Please discard all outdated recipes including the 1988 Quantity Recipes for School Food Service and the 1995 Tool Kit for Healthy School Meals.
